Community Involvement & Giveback

In addition to funding and donating to worthwhile organizations and activities in Bedford, the Bedford Men’s Club is actively involved in the community, volunteering time and resources to support local events, assist community programs, promote civic pride, and help make Bedford a stronger and more connected community for residents of all ages.

Town Council & School Board Forums

Each February, the Bedford Men’s Club hosts candidate forums for local Town Council and School Board elections. These forums provide Bedford residents with an opportunity to hear directly from candidates about important current issues affecting our community, helping voters make informed decisions ahead of local elections. The forums are broadcast live on BCTV channels and streaming platforms, and are also available on demand through BCTV for residents who are unable to watch live.

Hawkins Field Dugout Repair
The Bedford Men’s Club rebuild the dugouts at Hawkins Field, replacing deteriorating wood structures with durable composite materials designed for long-term use and reduced maintenance. This effort helps support the many organizations and residents who utilize the field, including adult softball leagues and youth soccer programs. The project also honors the legacy of Ken Hawkins, for whom the field is named — a founder of the Bedford Men’s Club who dedicated countless hours to youth sports and community service, including serving the Town of Bedford in the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

Grilling Up Burgers & Hot Dogs

Whether it is the Memorial Day Parade, youth sports jamborees, town employee appreciation luncheons, or Peter Woodbury School’s 4th grade graduation, the Bedford Men’s Club is proud to be there with our mammoth grill serving up hot dogs and burgers for the hungry crowd. Supporting community events through food, fellowship, and volunteerism has long been one of the ways our club brings people together. And yes — we take our grilling very seriously.
